Frequently asked questions

Is colonic hydrotherapy painful?

Experiences vary, but the treatment should not normally be painful. You may experience sensations such as fullness, the urge to open your bowels or occasional abdominal cramping. Tell Geri at any point if you feel uncomfortable.

Is it embarrassing?

Your treatment takes place privately and your modesty is protected throughout. Once treatment begins you remain appropriately covered.

Is there any smell or mess?

Gut Feeling uses a closed system which carries waste directly away through the equipment.

How long does an appointment take?

The treatment itself usually lasts around 45 minutes, although you should allow additional time for consultation, preparation and discussion.

I'm nervous. Is that normal?

Absolutely. Many people are apprehensive before their first appointment simply because they don’t know what to expect. Geri will explain everything beforehand and you can ask questions at any stage.
